Small Business Lifeline

I am glad Obama is looking out for the little guy, but it remains unclear as to how pressuring banks to give loans to small businesses can do much good. So ABC Co. has another $500k to expand their production line, offer better customer service, and pay down their lease on their horrible real estate investment. Great. Who is buying ABC Co's products again? The 10.1% consumers that make up California's unemployment rate? Possibly the (estimating) 20-40% of people who are still employed but have been forced to cut back their hours and/or pay?

Obama has been great at symbolic measures today and pretty much since the dawn of time. I am tired of hearing him being outraged at AIG's bonus payouts, how he sympathizes with the average American, and how he he is so surprised that his presidential helicopters actually cost a pretty penny. The time is ripe for him to do something worthwhile again. Reinvigorate his party to pump in billions of dollars into the green industry to provide jobs. Or stop being a fool about raising taxes during this time.

Bottom line, less soaring rhetoric in an effort to save a couple million dollars, and more rhetoric on how he is not a socialist and will refrain from enslaving all persons making more than $250,000 to be the government's wallet. Joe the Plumber would greatly appreciate it.
